I believe that yoga is the complete union of the body, breath and mind and cultivate a practice that encompasses this aspect.
My yoga journey began in my early 20s. I suffered from chronic joint pain and at the suggestion of a friend I tried my first yoga class. The practice made my body stronger and over time, the pain lessened. As my practice grew so did my awareness. I began to see the world through a different lens and realized I had stopped coming to my mat for the physical benefit and started to arrive for the spiritual ones.

When I registered for Gillian’s beginner yoga courses I was skeptical that yoga was for me, but after the first class I couldn’t wait for the next! Gillian did an excellent job of explaining each pose and spending time with the students making sure they were comfortable and secure in each position. I loved how Gillian would challenge us a little more each week so that we could see and feel how we were improving. You can tell Gillian has a passion for her practice and puts a lot of time and care into each class. I can say without a doubt that it was Gillian’s beginner yoga course that showed me how transformative the practice of yoga can be.
